Four Vital Factors In A Natural Cure For Diabetes.

A natural cure for diabetes will involve tackling the problem from several angles. Though diabetes is basically a disorder of blood sugar regulation, there are several factors involved.

Natural Cure for Diabetes Means Having to Make Informed Decisions about the Right Food

· Insulin is produced by the pancreas in response to raised sugar levels in the blood. A diet high in sugar and refined carbohydrates causes the pancreas to produce too much insulin. When this goes on for a long time, the body cells become resistant to insulin – rather like the story of the boy who cried wolf. Thus a change to a wholefood diet, high in complex carbohydrates, is the most fundamental part in any natural cure for diabetes. (Complex carbohydrates are found in wholegrains, beans and vegetables.) In some cases a change of diet is enough to control diabetes.

· As well as producing insulin to control blood sugar levels, the pancreas also controls the distribution of water in the body. When you are dehydrated, the mechanism by which the pancreas rations the limited supply of water causes it to produce less insulin. So adequate water intake is vital in natural cures for diabetes. (That means 6 to 8 glasses of clean, fresh water a day).

· Though it’s not widely known, another factor in diabetes is fungal infection. Fungus attacks the beta cells of the pancreas, the cells that produce insulin. The longer you have diabetes the more beta cells are destroyed. Fungus is widely present in and on food, even if it’s not obviously mouldy. Any food that has been stored will have fungus growing on it. This includes grains such as wheat and rice, wholegrain or not. An anti-candida diet to eliminate fungal infection may be of help in a natural cure for diabetes.

· Stress can also be part of why some people get diabetes and some don’t. Stress causes production of adrenalin, which makes the body release more sugar into the blood stream. If you happen to be running away from a lion, this is very useful – it will give you the energy to run faster and will soon be burnt up. If, however, you’re sitting at the wheel of your car in a traffic jam the pancreas steps in with more insulin to bring the blood sugar level back into line.

It’s very hard to avoid stress in the modern world, but you can deal with the adrenalin. Regular, vigorous exercise will burn up the adrenalin. It also oxygenates your body, making it harder for fungus to survive in you, and exercise improves the sensitivity of cells to insulin. So you can see that there are several reasons why exercise is an important part of getting well again.

Natural Cure for Diabetes Means Making The Right Choice of Food A combination of a healthy, wholefood diet, plenty of water and regular exercise will give your body the best chance to heal itself and get everything functioning normally again. Clearing any fungal infection will help to free your body to heal itself.

As well as these things that you can do for yourself, there are therapies that can also help in your natural cure for diabetes.

Reflexology is one that has been used with great success. Many people have found that their insulin needs decrease after a course of reflexology treatment.

Herbs can be of great help in cases of diabetes. An herbalist will prescribe the best combination of herbs for you. One herb seems to exist specially for diabetics. Stevia leaf has a very sweet taste – sweeter than sugar – yet it has no sugar in it, no calories at all. It can be used to sweeten drinks or in baking, instead of sugar or artificial sweeteners.
